Ko Tao is renowned for it scuba diving. There were several companys that offer scuba diving trips and dive certification courses. The seas were quite rough for the short time we were there and the boats stayed close to the island.

We were told that shortly before we arrived on Ko Tao it had rained for 7 days, causing a flash flood. Evidence of the flood was apparent in several places. The water continued to find its own way down the mountain and through Sairee while we were there. We had to step over little (and some not so little) streams of running water in odd places.
